A Midwifery Herbalist specializes in nutrition and consultations regarding to working with health crisis during pregnancy, or with underlying conditions before conception. This is a special area of expertise, which is beyond the delivery of a baby. Areas of focus include preconception preparedness, stroke and heart issues during pregnancy, heavy metals exposure prior or during pregnancy, helping to delay preterm labor, as well as cancer during pregnancy, auto-immune conditions and autism.

Serendipity Plant Lore School of Ethnobotanical Studies and Serendipity Herbals were created from a love and passion for medicinal foraging, wild eats, healing, wilderness care-taking and communion, making simple home remedies and preparing/preserving foods naturally. Herbalism has always been a People’s Medicine, a basic and sacred way of self care and attention to the health of the body that becomes a way to live, and a way to share oneself, in relationship, with people, animals, plants and the Earth. It is a living experience of thankfulness to the Creator, a practice that involves the air we breathe, the water we drink, the thoughts we think, the companions we walk with, our food, our families, our love, our world. Herbalists are stewards of love and health!

    Dear Summer,
I so enjoyed your fermenting class last month and am very interested in your Apprenticeship in Plant Lore and Herbal Ethnobotanical Studies. I have been interested in herbs, and plants as medicine for years but have always felt I didn’t know enough to jump into it without possibly causing more harm then good (much like fermenting!). I have no idea if your Appreticeship will be cost or time prohibitive for me but I felt I needed to at least check into the possiblity. I appreciate any information you can forward to me and look forward to your reply.
    Thank you,
