Our Planting Love Apprenticeships are in progress. We are no longer accepting students for the 2015 year, but are accepting students for the 2016 Apprenticeship Year for Planting Love, Red Cedar Love and Community Herbalist Love Apprenticeships! For the 2017 year, we are working on a plan to offer partial apprenticeship scholarships for those in need, and an additional fourth program offering…so stay tuned!
Serendipity Plant Lore School of Ethnobotanical Studies Herbal and Wild Foods Apprenticeships interviews are happening NOW for the 2016 year! These 9 and 10 month programs cover wild foods foraging, ecosystem stewardship, survival skills, mushroom foraging, making herbal medicines, with programs moving into deeper levels of healing processes, working with various conditions, prevention, mid-wifery herbs and death-wifery herbs. Working within a very old folk tradition of my family, coupled with observation and science, we learn to weave our own healing tapestries, expanding them with our work with others. Learning and having hands on experiences along side me, a practicing Community Herbalist, we have experiences together with the healing processes and transitions of life. To be added to the Apprenticeship email list and/or to set up an interview, send an email to lemonlotus@gmail.com. If you feel inspired, please share with your families and communities. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

THANK YOU all who donated to Share Shelter AGAIN!!! Let’s go for a new donation round!!! We’ve been keeping this shelter love going for a few years, let’s light some more fires and clean our homes! Other things we can collect are gently used items for kitchen, clothes, backpacks, hotel samples of hygiene supplies, books and magazines!

Serendipity Plant Lore School will be at the F.A.R.M. Stocking Up Event this coming Saturday!

Hi Herb Folks, Student Folks and Friend Folks!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Serendipity Plant Lore School of Ethnobotanical Studies is going to be at the F.A.R.M. stocking up event for its third season! I’ll have a table there with wild foraged and organic garden herbs and hand-made herbal teas from Serendipity Plant Lore School of Ethnobotanical Studies, Wild Mushrooms, and other cute little herb tidbits!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Pre-order to guarantee the filling of your order (instructions below), but I will bring extra wild foraged mushrooms, and possibly other berries and teas to the event. Pre-order is October 1st, but I will bring any extras I have too! I have enjoyed being part of this gathering, I love each and every Farmer at the event, hold dearly in my heart the organizers of this group, and highly encourage folks to come grab some local seasonal goodies to stock up for winter from great, sustain-ably minded and organic farmers and producers! This is also a good time, if you have a few questions, to bring them to the event, especially about herbs, healing, pickling, farming and other food subjects/discussions.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA I don’t always get a chance to respond to every email, but this is a perfect place to grab my ear for a 5 minute free consultation gab! I’ll also be doing some Herbal Medicine Talks, Traditional Food Preservation Demos and more as time permits. So come on out, would love to see you!!!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

>>>F.A.R.M. is hosting our second “Stocking Up” event here in SW Washington on October 11th, 1-4pm! Mark your calendars!

What sets this market apart from a farmers’ market or other direct marketing option is the fact it’s an annual event and customers are encouraged to purchase the quantity they would need for a year. They can purchase bulk quantities of staples directly from farmers.

We have very pickily selected farmers that we know and trust, and value agriculture techniques from, to keep this event a wholesome, healthy, and exciting time — keeping the offerings as near as our food shed as possibly possible.

We have several awesome sessions going on, as well as a petting zoo, hay maize, face painting, wagon rides and lots more! Bring the whole family!

Maybe we’ll get lucky and have an impromtu singer songwriter show up like in 2012, or a band like last year!

Pre-orders are encouraged (and necessary for many items). We will be sending out a detailed list of offerings on October 1st, with orders due by October 8th. To receive this list, email getfreshwithfarms@gmail.com and express interest in participating!

See you there!<<<

2014, Our 5th Red Salmon Fish Bliss Order is Firing up!!!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHello Beautiful Salmon Bliss Fish Group!
For the fifth year in a row, we gather together in anticipation of an amazing harvest from our favorite local Fisherman and Fisherwoman Couple, who head back up to Alaska to fish in their Families Fisher Peoples Co-op!
Still, one of the world’s cleanest and most monitored watersheds, we are blessed with this nutritious and delicious food, in this beautiful world, with the helping hands of all, supporting each other from catch to delivery.
The shipping and processing costs have gone up. Our price has been consistent year to year because we participate with our Fisher Family, to make sure they are supported. We do have a price rise this year along with all other fisheries, but Iliamna has kept it very modest, and is hoping we can keep this number stable for a number of years to come!
If you wish to order, please get back to me ASAP so I can start compiling information….we MUST have our order into Iliamna and half paid by May, 27th, 2014, which means I need to close our end of the ordering process by May 20th, 2014. Please help to keep this organized for the group…..think hard, think fast, and get back to me ASAP! I will follow up your order with payment details!
Our best price discount comes in at $ per a lb for share orders 100 and over….Last year, we did 73 share orders, so I think we can do this!!!! Otherwise, if we do not meet 100 shares, our price will be $ a lb, still a significant discount from $ a lb. We win, either way!!! TOGETHER!!!
Please order in these quantities, prices follow according to which discount level we meet:
1 Share Box is 20 lbs, $
1/2 Share Box is 10 lbs, $
1/4 Share Box is 5 lbs, $
Half is due in my hands prior to the order cut-off date (May 20th), the other half prior to Salmon Fish Bliss Delivery!!! 🙂 Feel free to spread this around in your groups, with your families, friends and neighbors!
Read more at http://www.redsalmon.com/
Any questions? Send an email (lemonlotus@gmail.com)! Please be aware, I spend sometime out in the field, so please be patient with me as I answer questions and get information out to everyone! Thank you for supporting local and regional wild foods!

Radheish Chai, A New (But Old), Tea Offering!

Life at our House! 012This new offering of Radheish Chai, was inspired by Radhe Gopinath (for those who remember this BEAUTIFUL MOTHER on our Little Trees from India!). Radhe taught me so many, beautiful things about Indian cooking, and sparked my love affair with authentic Chai. This is how Radheish Chai came to be, and the inspiration has just continued to radiate outward! This beautiful, organic, hand-made tea contains local ingredients where possible. Such an honor to have such wonderful friends in our lives! I’ve been making fresh batches of the tea, on a consistent basis, so if you would like to buy some, send me a message!
