About

Serendipity Plant Lore School of Ethnobotanical Studies,  Apprenticeship with Summer Farkas Takács-Michaelson, CH is available for those serious about a comprehensive training that involves all aspects of being a home herbalist, a greater community herbalist, and forest steward. A full apprenticeship with Summer Farkas Takács-Michaelson, CH generally lasts three plus years, and is a distillation of 39 years foraging and 23 years of herbal training.

Serendipity Plant Lore School of Ethnobotanical Studies and Serendipity Herbals were created from a love and passion for medicinal foraging, wild eats, healing, wilderness care-taking and communion, making simple home remedies and preparing/preserving foods naturally. Herbalism has always been a People’s Medicine, a basic and sacred way of self care and attention to the health of the body that becomes a way to live, and a way to share oneself, in relationship, with people, animals, plants and the Earth. It is a living experience of thankfulness to the Creator, a practice that involves the air we breathe, the water we drink, the thoughts we think, the companions we walk with, our food, our families, our love, our world. Herbalists are stewards of love and health!
